Hunter: Deon Bolt

Bolt & Co Safaris is built on the traditional values that I have been brought up with, a spirit of courage and endurance, and my love for God and His creation.

I was born into a family of farmers, hunters, passionate conservationists, and untamable adventurers. My late father was a professional hunter, navy diver and classic arms collector. So it is only natural that stories of big game hunting and life on the sea are deeply embedded within my soul.

I left my parents game farm to join the South African Navy, becoming a permanent force navy diver in 2002. I briefly paused my military career (to please my mother and get a university degree), after which I re-enlisted with the South African National Defense Force. After a medical discharge, I started my career in property development and investment which provided me with the experience and means to establish my own safari company.

My wife, Cathrin and I have two beautiful children who we raise with the same passionate and adventurous spirit that we both value.
